I Know What You Did Last Summer Sequel Starts Filming, Behind the Scenes Pic Released

The I Know What You Did Last Summer legacy sequel has begun production, with a behind the scenes pic teasing a familiar weapon. The film’s official Twitter channel shared the photo of someone holding the Fisherman’s Hook from the original films and wearing what looks to be the killer’s famed raincoat.
You can see the pic below. The post confirms that filming has started, stating:
“Production is underway for #IKnowWhatYouDidLastSummer. Exclusively in theatres this summer.”
The new film sees Freddie Prinze Jr. returning as Ray Bronson, with Jennifer Love Hewitt expected (but not yet announced) to return as Julie James. New cast members include Jonah Hauer-King, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Chase Sui Wonders, Tyriq Withers, Lola Tung, Austin Nichols, Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Gabbriette.
Plot details are under wraps for the film, which is being directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson from a script that she co-wrote with Sam Lansky, Jeff Howard, and Leah McKendrick. It will hit theaters on July 18th, 2025.
