Isabel May in Talks to Join Scream 7
Isabel May is set to get up close and personal with Ghostface, as she’s in talks to join Scream 7. THR reports that May, who co-stars in the Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923, is in discussions to play the daughter of Sidney Prescott in the upcoming slasher sequel, joining Neve Campbell in the film.
Kevin Williamson is directing the film from a script by Guy Busick, who co-wrote the last two films. The movie has undergone a number of changes after being thrown into chaos late last year when Melissa Barrera was fired over comments she made about the Israeli-Palestine conflict. It was confirmed shortly after that Jenna Ortega would also not be returning due to her filming commitments to Wednesday season two, and original director Christopher Landon announced that he had exited in December.
THR reports that the new iteration of the film will focus on Sidney and her daughter. It was reported in March that Courtney Cox was in talks to return, but that has not yet been confirmed.
The new film will release on February 27th, 2026.
