Jared Leto To Play Skeletor In Live-Action Masters Of the Universe Movie

Amazon MGM Studios has found their Skeletor for the live-action Masters Of the Universe movie in Jared Leto. THR reports that Leto has signed on to play the famous He-Man villain in the upcoming film. In addition, more villains have been cast as Sam C. Wilson will play Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson will play Goat Man and Kojo Attah will portray Tri-Klops.

The quartet join a cast that includes Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-at-Arms, and Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn. The film will be a live-action take on the famous cartoon and toy line, with plot details still under wraps.

Travis Knight is directing the film from a script by Chris Butler. The movie is set to release on June 5th, 2026.
