Don’t expect to see it anytime soon, but John Boyega says that he’s spoken with Marvel about appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Bounding Into Comics reports that Boyega did a Q&A at Awesome Con in Washington, D.C. over the weekend and was asked about potentially being in a Marvel film.

According to the site, Boyega was asked by a fan whether he’d been willing to play Blade in the MCU. The Star Wars actor declined, saying it would “spit in the face of Wesley [Snipes] if I took Blade” and that he’s in support of Snipes playing the character again.

Boyega said that he’s had discussions with Marvel about potentially playing a superhero in the franchise, but was clear that this wouldn’t be happening for a while.

In the meantime, Boyega has the Star Wars franchise keeping him busy through the next film, to be directed by J.J. Abrams and releasing on December 20th, 2019.
