Jon Favreau’s Star Wars Series Is Set After Return of the Jedi

During a red carpet event last night for Solo, Jon Favreau revealed that his upcoming Star Wars series for Disney’s streaming service will be set some years after Return of the Jedi. The streaming service is expected to launch in 2019. As for the series, Favreau also confirmed that the script is halfway done.
He said: “I’ve written half of the season already for the new Star Wars show that I’m working on.”
He added that it will have all-new characters, as well as CGI and motion capture similar to his work on The Jungle Book.
