Felicity is about to become a Jedi, it would seem. Keri Russell is set to join the cast of Star Wars: Episode IX, according to Variety. The project reteams Russell with director J.J. Abrams, who she worked with on Felicity as well as Mission: Impossible III.

At this point, little is known about her character although the site reports that it will involve “action-heavy fight scenes.” Russell is fresh off the final season of FX’s critically-acclaimed drama The Americans. Her other recent credits include Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Dark Skies.

J.J. Abrams co-wrote the script for Episode IX with Chris Terrio and will direct the film, which will release on December 20, 2019. Production begins at the end of the month. Russell joins Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver in the film.
