Lead Role Cast In Upcoming Hellraiser Reboot

The Illuminerdi and Bloody Disgusting report that Odessa A’zion has been cast in the lead role for the upcoming Hellraiser reboot, but it’s unknown what that role will be due to the lack of story information available.

What we do now is that the Spyglass Media film will be released on Hulu. It will be directed by David Bruckner, who directed the 2017 Netflix movie The Ritual and the upcoming film The Night House. The script was written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski (Super Dark Times, The Night House). A’Zion previously appeared in the movie Let’s Scare Julie and the Netflix series Grand Army.

This isn’t the only Hellraiser project in the works, as a TV series is being prepared for HBO Max. It’s unknown if that will be related to this. The pilot and several other episodes will be directed by David Gordon Green (Halloween, Halloween Kills) with Michael Dougherty (Trick ‘r Treat) and Mark Verheiden (Battlestar Galactica) writing. Clive Barker will executive produce that series.
