Logo Released For Mortal Kombat Reboot

Mortal Kombat arrives in theaters and on HBO Max next year, and the reboot’s logo has been released online. Star Lewis Tan posted the image on Twitter late last week following the huge news that all of Warner Bros. 2021 film slate (including Mortal Kombat) will release both in theaters and on HBO Max day-and-date. You can see the logo below, which has (to say the least) a strong similarity to the franchise’s typical stylings.
The film stars Tan, Ludi Lin, Chin Han, Jessica McNamee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Joe Taslim, Mehcad Brooks, Josh Lawson, Sisi Stringer Elissa Cadwell and Tadanobu Asano, and is directed by Simon McQuoid. The film is currently set for release next year, though the specific date has yet to be revealed after it was moved from its January 15th release date.
