Michael Pena and Dianne Wiest Join Cast of Clint Eastwood Film The Mule

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Dianne Wiest and Michael Pena have joined the cast of Clint eastwood’s new movie, The Mule. The upcoming drama recently began filming this week in Atlanta, Georgia.

Eastwood is directing and will also star in the film. Pena and Wiest join the cast alongside Eastwood, Laurence Fishburne, Bradley Cooper, Alison Eastwood, Taissa Farmiga, and Ignacio Serrichio.

Eastwood portrays the role of Earl Stone, a man who is in his 80s and facing foreclosure on his business. He’s then offered a job to be a driver. However, he’s unknowingly signed on to become a drug courier for a Mexican cartel. However, he soon gets tracked by DEA agent Colin Bates. However, as Earl’s money problems disappear, his past mistakes continue to weigh heavily on him.

Wiest will portray Stone’s ex-wife in the picture. Pena is playing an enforcer. Bradley Cooper is playing DEA agent Colin Bates.

Warner Bros. and Imperative Entertainment are co-producing the project. Eastwood is producing the film via his Malpaso banner with Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas as well as Tim Moore, Kristina Rivera, and Jessica Meier.
