Mowgli and Robin Hood Rated By MPAA
Coming Soon reports that the upcoming films Mowgli and Robin Hood have both been rated PG-13 by the MPAA.
Mowgli received the rating for “intense sequences of action violence including bloody images, and some thematic elements.” The film was directed by Andy Serkis and features the voices of Benedict Cumberbatch as Shere Khan, Christian Bale as Bagheera, Cate Blanchett as Kaa, Naomie Harris as Raksha, Eddie Marsan as Papa Wolf, and Peter Mullan as Akela. It will be released on October 19.
Robin Hood was rated PG-13 for “extended sequences of violence and action, and some suggestive references.” It will be released on September 21. The film was directed by Otto Bathurst from a script by Joby Harold, Peter Craig and David James Kelly. It stars Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx, Jamie Dornan, Eve Hewson, Tim Minchin and Paul Anderson. Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson Killoran, Basil Iwanyk, Tory Tunnell and Joby Harold produce.
