Some people must really, REALLY want to make sure they see Avengers: Endgame as soon as possible. After the upcoming MCU film smashed pre-sales records for the first twenty-four hours, the usual scalpers began trying to flip the tickets for big money. As Uproxx reports, eBay saw tickets for the show going for literally thousands of dollars. And even scarier, there was at least one success.

The tickets quickly went up on the auction site for exorbitant rates, some reaching as high as $15,000 to $20,000. Why would someone do this when they have to pay for listing items, you ask? Because someone just might buy them. A perfect example of this is seen in the below tweet, where one insane example, someone actually bid $9,199 for two tickets in New York City.

The thing about those tickets is that, as you can see, the tickets aren’t for a special screening or opening night. They’re for a Sunday night. Of course, there’s always the chance (even the probability) that the “buyer” is trolling and reneges, or that something else is going on here.

Anyone who doesn’t want to pay thousands of dollars may still be able to find tickets somewhere for reasonable prices and see the film when it opens on April 26th.
