Psych Movie Sequel In Development But On Hold

TVLine reports that a sequel to Psych: The Movie is in early development at Universal Cable Productions and USA Network, but the project is currently on hold. There had been talks to shoot the sequel later this year, but there have been scheduling conflicts for James Roday and Dule Hill. Roday is currently the star of ABC’s drama A Million Little Things and Hill was promoted to a series regular on USA’s Suits. However, USA and UCP are both still interested in doing the sequel once the stars get some time.

Roday said last year: “If [series creator] Steve Franks has his druthers it will be an annual thing until we’re all living in assisted living.”

Hill added: “As long as the Psychos have a yearning for it and a desire for it, we’d be down to keep delivering them.“
