Rami Malek Circles Villain Role in Bond 25
It looks like Rami Malek’s next role will be portraying a villain for the next James Bond movie. Collider reports that fresh off the heels of his Academy Award win for Best Actor in Bohemian Rahapsody, Rami Malek is now in “final negotiations” to play the villain in the still currently untitled Bond 25.
Rami Malek would join the film opposite star Daniel Craig. Cary Joji Fukunaga is currently attached to write and direct the film after some delays and directorial shifts. Danny Boyle was originally set to direct the film before he later exited the project.
Other cast members slated to reprise their roles for the sequel include Ralph Fiennes as M, Lea Seydoux as Madeleine Swann, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, and Ben Whishaw as Q.

Additionally, Variety reports that Billy Magnussen (Game Night) is currently in line to play an American CIA operative who encounters Bond. Magnussen previously worked Fukunaga on the Netflix series Maniac. The character is reportedly meant to be a replacement for Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright).
Bond 25 is currently scheduled for an April 8, 2020 release date.
