SDCC: New The Sandman Trailer Sets Up Dream vs. The Corinthian

The release of the long-awaited The Sandman series draws ever closer, and a new trailer from San Diego Comic-Con teases Dream’s hunt for the Corinthian. Franchise creator Neil Gaiman unveiled the new trailer at the convention over the weekend, and you can check it out below.

The trailer gives a look at Dream’s power and sets the stage for one of his nightmares, the brutal Corinthian, to escape from the Dreaming to terrorize the real world. Dream then visits some of his siblings including Death and Desire, as well as hell where Lucifer reigns, in his quest to take out his rogue nightmare.

The series launches on Netflix on August 5th and stars Tom Sturridge stars as Morpheus/Dream, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer Morningstar, Boyd Holbrook as The Corinthian, Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death, Mason Alexander Park as Desire, Donna Preston as Despair, David Thewlis as Dr. John Dee, and more.
