AMC Sets Season 10 Finale Date For The Walking Dead, Additional Episodes to Follow

At long last, fans will see the season 10 finale for The Walking Dead later this year…and then more episodes. Yes, after the finale. During AMC’s virtual panel for the series as part of Comic-Con@Home on Friday, it was announced that the delayed season finale will premiere on October 4th at 9 PM ET/PT.

During the panel, showrunner Angela Kang announced that the series will have an extended season 10 with six extra episodes that will follow the finale and air in early 2021. Kang also noted that season 11 will not air in October as is usually the case due to COVID-19.

The season 10 finale was originally set to air in April but was unable to do so due to the fact that post-production was unable to be completed on the episode. AMC teased at the time that it would air as a “special episode” later this year.
