Star Trek Discovery Sets October Premiere Date For Season Three

The third season of Star Trek Discovery has a release date at least, being set for October. CBS All-Access has announced that the show will return for its third go on October 15th.

The third season is just one of many Star Trek shows on the way. Paramount is releasing the first season of Star Trek: Lower Decks, an animated comedy from Mike McMahan (Rick & Morty), on August 6th. ALso releasing at an as-yet-unrevealed point is the Discovery spin-off Star Trek: Strange New Worlds as well as Star Trek: Picard season two.

The new season will pick up with the crew of the Discovery “landing into an unknown future far from the home they once knew. Now living in a time filled with uncertainty, the U.S.S. Discovery crew, along with the help of some new friends, must work together to restore hope to the Federation.” It will star Sonequa Martin-Green as Commander Michael Burnham, Doug Jones as Commander Sara, Anthony Rapp as Lt. Commander Paul Stamets, Mary Wiseman as Ensign Sylvia Tilly, Wilson Cruz as Dr. Hugh Culber, David Ajala as Cleveland “Book” Booker, and Michelle Yeoh as Philippa Georgiou.
