The Expendables franchise has been known for bringing together actions stars from the 1980s and 1990s for an all-star ensemble set of films. The first movie was released in 2010 and starred Stallone, Jason Statham

Li, Lundgren, Couture and Crews, and added Chuck Norris, Terry Crews, Liam Hemsworth, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It brought in $305.4 million.
A third, PG-13-rated film released in 2014 had disappointing grosses at $214.6 million. It added Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes, Mel Gibson and Harrison Ford to the cast along with Kelsey Grammer and newer stars Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Glen Powell and Victor Ortiz. A fourth film has been in the works for some time, but Stallone announced in March of last year that he was leaving the franchise due to creative disagreements with Millennium Films’ Avi Lerner. Apparently now, that has been resolved.
