The Super Mario Bros. Movie Sequel Gets Official Title

The sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie is getting a title well known to franchise fans: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Variety reports that the title to the Super Mario Bros. Movie was revealed on Friday during a Nintendo Direct event.

The title is a reference to the beloved 2007 Nintendo Wii game in the Super Mario franchise. The sequel will release on April 3rd, 2026.

The voice cast for the first film — Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek — are all expected to return for the sequel.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie released on April 4th, 2023 and grossed $574.9 million domestically and $1.359 billion worldwide.
