Warner Bros. Considering Pushing Dune: Part Two, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Due to Strikes

Warner Bros. Pictures is reportedly considering pushing Dune: Part Two and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom due to the ongoing Hollywood strikes. Variety reports that the studio is considering delaying the releases of the two films, as well as The Color Purple, due to the current labor strikes by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA.
Dune: Part Two and The Color Purple are completed, but the SAG-AFTRA strike in particular would be problematic as talent would be unable to promote the films if the strikes continue for long enough. That would include campaigns for awards season, and both films are expected to be contenders in various categories. The Aquaman sequel also completed a recent round of reshoots and with the recent performance issues for DC films, the film has extra pressure to perform at the box office.
Dune: Part Two is currently set for release on November 3rd, while The Color Purple is schediuled for December 25th and Aquman and the Lost Kingdom is set for December 20th.
