Warner Bros. Moves The Batman to 2022, Matrix 4 Moved Up, Black Adam Undated
Warner Bros. has made a slew of release date changes, shifting the dates for The Batman, Matrix 4, Black Adam, and more. Deadline reports that the studio has bumped The Batman from its October 1st, 2021 date to March 4th, 2022. This was an expected move after Legendary’s Dune was delayed from December of this year to October 1st, 2021.
In addition, Matrix 4 is now moving up a bit, as it will open on December 22nd, 2021 instead of its April 1st, 2022 date. The Flash is being bumped back from June 3rd, 2022 to November 4th of that year; Shazam! 2 is moving back from that November 4th, 2022 date to June 2nd, 2023; and Black Adam starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is undated after an initial December 22nd, 2021 release date.
Finally, Minecraft has been undated; it was previously set for the March 4th, 2022 date that The Batman once occupied. Wonder Woman 1984 is (for now) staying on its Christmas Day release date for this year.
