Young Rock returned to NBC this week, and it saw a slip in ratings and a rise in viewership from its season one finale. The season two premiere, which aired Tuesday on NBC, brought in a 0.43 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic and 2.552 million viewers. Those numbers are down 17.3% and up 8% from the 0.52 demo rating and 2.363 million viewers for the season one finale, which aired on May 4th, 2021. Both numbers are down (as expected) from the 0.51 demo rating and 3.064 million viewers that the Young Rock holiday special did on December 15th of last year.

Young Rock is in the middle of the pack for NBC’s scripted shows in terms of ratings for the 2021 – 2022 season so far, ranking ninth out of 19 shows. When you add in unscripted shows it ranks 13th out of 27, just behind That’s My Jam but ahead of The Thing About Pam. The show ranked second among all shows for its timeslot per Showbuzz Daily, losing out only to ABC’s The Bachelor.
