Yvette Nicole Brown Says She’s Not Jockeying For Chris Hardwick’s Talking Dead Job

While Yvette Nicole Brown is replacing Chris Hardwick for the Walking Dead panel at San Diego Comic-Con, that is as far as it goes. Brown was announced on Tuesday as filling in for Hardwick at the SDCC panel amidst the allegations of emotional abuse and sexual assault levied against him by ex-girlfriend Chloe Dykstra. And while fans have been lobbying online for Brown — a Talking Dead regular and fan favorite — to replace him on the Walking Dead after-show, she says that’s not the plan.
Brown posted to Twitter in response to rampant speculation that her SDCC gig will lead into replacing Hardwick on Talking Dead, noting that she is “filling in for a friend” and is not “jockeying for a job.” Hardwick was pulled from moderating the Walking Dead and Doctor Who panels after the allegations broke. A replacement moderator for Doctor Who has yet to be named.
I will say this once. I am filling in for a friend, which I have done before. I am not jockeying for a job. I have enough of my own. It is my prayer that God's Will is done in the midst of this process & that everyone is okay. My character is known & sound. Nothing has changed.
