-It’s playoff time for the men this week. Let’s get to it!

-Team Taker: Shiloh Hill, Drake Morreaux, Bayley Humphrey (eliminated), Dani Sekelsky

-Team Bubba: BJ Ray, Zena Sterling, Haze Jameson (eliminated), Elijah Holyfield

-Team Michelle: Anthony Luke, P-Nasty, Summer Sorrell (eliminated), Trill London

-Team Booker: Harlem Lewis, Chris Island, Tatyanna Dumas (eliminated), Sirena Linton

-Scoreboard: McCool 8, Taker 5, Bubba 4, Booker 3

-Men’s Scoreboard: Elijah 2, Shiloh 2, Anthony 2, London 2, Harlem 1, Drake 1

-Women’s Scoreboard: Penina 4, Sirena 2, Dani 2, Zena 1, Haze 1

-Joe Tessitore is our narrator. Vic Joseph and Jeremy Borash are on commentary for the matches.

-On a personal note about my change to Hulu Live TV Plus, the one downside is I can’t forward through commercials on programs that have been recorded. That’s a bummer.

-We start with Taker sitting in a ring with Drake and Shiloh. Each guy tells why he should stay. Shiloh talks about getting to the finals and losing and knows what to do to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Drake feels Taker has the two best guys and thinks this should be the finals. Eh! Taker likes hearing that and wishes them both good luck.

Team Taker Playoff: Shiloh Hill vs. Drake Morreaux

-Booker tells Michelle that he knows Taker is high on Shiloh, but he doesn’t see anything in him. Bubba notes this is a big opportunity for Drake. He then yells, “do something Drake.” They collide and neither man badges. Booker goes into his commentary mode like this was TNA and I laughed. Sidewalk slam from Drake gets two. Clothesline follows as Taker notes Drake showed up tonight. He wants them to keep their foot on the gas. Booker seems to be all about Drake as he is hyping him up to Taker. Knowing Booker he is trying to trick Taker into keeping him. Shiloh fires back with uppercuts and they start trading blows. Swinging neckbreaker from Shiloh followed by a standing moonsault gets two. Drake back with a discus lariat for two. Drake misses a splash and can’t get a chokeslam. Shiloh slides out and hits his belly-to-back into a neckbreaker for the pin at 3:13.

Winner: Shiloh Hill via pin at 3:13
-They spent a lot of time on the judges so we didn’t get much of the match. Drake looked better in the match, but I think Taker is keeping Shiloh because he likes that darker gimmick he has.

-Commercials!

-The other judges get their say and they all seem to note Drake had the better showing today. Taker says it became a harder decision because Drake out shined Shiloh. Taker picks Shiloh as he thinks he gives him the best chance to win. He tells Drake this is just another step and not then end. Drake understands, but is pissed.

-Bubba says Drake was better as he found the happy medium between sports entertainer and pro-wrestler. I am not surprised by Taker’s decision.

-Booker has Chris Island and Harlem Lewis in the ring and I assume he is going to get them fired up to the point they want to fight. It’s what Booker does. They start taking verbal shots at each other and Harlem tells Chris he is not a killer and is a pretender. Booker has heard enough talk and wants to see it in the ring. Harlem is ready to go right now if needed.

Team Booker Playoff Match: Harlem Lewis vs. Chris Island

-I think Booker is leaning Harlem, but I can do either way on this one. I like both guys. Michelle notes that Harlem might kill Booker if he doesn’t pick him. They stare each other down and talk some trash. Lewis with a shove and we take a break.

-Commercials!

-Chris shoves back and gets a nice arm-drag. Booker likes the top wrist-lock action from Island. Lewis slugs him down, but misses a charge in the corner. Island with a monkey flip out of the corner and he gets a two count. Lewis grabs him buy the back of the tights and hits a clothesline to the back of the head. He fires off chops in the corner and hits a weak punch that Taker calls out. Lewis hooks a reverse chinlock and boo to that. Island escapes and throws body shots as he ducks wild swings from Lewis. Clothesline is ducked and Island gets a leaping shoulder tackle and a slam. Suplex is blocked and Lewis goes for one of his own, but Island turns that into a small package for two. Lewis keeps hold off the kick out and powers up into a Jackhammer for the pin at 3:33.

Winner: Harlem Lewis via pin at 3:33
-This was a good outing for both, but I think Booker is taking Harlem.

-The judges think both men should be proud of themselves as they both did well and had a good match.

-Booker tells Chris he has improved a hell of a lot from Season One to Two, but he has to go with Harlem. Chris says he doesn’t need the legends approval anymore and he is just going to do him. He will either fall on his face or fly.

-Commercials!

-Michelle is with Trill and Anthony in the ring. Michelle tells Anthony she is struggling with this decision. Anthony tells Trill he likes him, and his time is coming, but nobody on this show is on his level. I really hope Trill pulls the upset as I am just not a fan of Anthony Luke. Trill sits calmly and Anthony gets up and seems angered. Trill tells Anthony he can do what he can’t do and doesn’t need to work as hard as Anthony to get the crowd to react to him.

Team McCool Playoff Match: Anthony Luke vs. Trill London

-Again, I am pulling for Trill here. For those who aren’t fans of either this is cos playing Rock vs. cos playing Jeff Hardy. Lockup and Luke has the power advantage. Trill hooks a side headlock but Luke goes to the hair. Trill tries a back elbow, but just bounces off Luke. He hits a sweet reverse leap frog and pulls Luke down as he goes over him. That was like Saquon! Luke hits a running clothesline in the corner, but a second try hits a boot from trill. He gets a cross-body for a two count. Trill with more cool counters and hits a version of Whisper in the Wind to the floor. Bubba: “He might as well steal all my shit as he has stolen all Jeff’s.” The crowd is behind Trill and I don’t blame them. He hits a dropkick and then a Side Effect. He connects with a Swanton Bomb for two as Luke gets his boot on the bottom rope. Trill takes his short off like Jeff and heads up again. Luke pops up and meets him up there. He tells Trill he is going home and hits a superplex. Lights, Camera, Action finishes at 4:15.

Winner: Anthony Luke via pin at 4:15
-I’d take Trill, but I think Michelle is taking Luke. I just don’t see it with Luke like some others, but that’s just me.

-Commercials!

-Booker says they both did great. Taker says it is a tough call. Bubba says it is not a tough decision and Michelle says “he’s a liar.”

-Michelle is in tears as she picks Anthony Luke. Boo! Trill says he will do what he has to do and he will take the shot the next time he gets a chance. Bring him back for Season Three! Let him go back to Evolve until then.

-Bubba is in the ring and it’s only BJ Ray as I guess he has a bye because Elijah is still hurt. He tells Bubba he has no choice and has to pick him. He was trying to be the good guy, but it didn’t pay off and now Bubba has no choice. Bubba grabs BJ by the arm and tells him he had real high hopes for him this season. He just reminded him why “nobody can fucking stand you.”

-Bubba tells us he has something up his sleeve. We see him backstage telling Elijah he will be standing in the ring with BJ and to not worry as he has BJ right where he wants him.

-BJ makes his entrance to the ring and Bubba tells Taker he wants to see if he clams up right now. Elijah is out there and so is a referee. Elijah is in a sling as BJ makes fun of his bicep injury. He takes a shot at Elijah as he says his father should be embarrassed. Bubba calls a time-out and tells BJ he is not moving on as he is having a match tonight. Why do I get the feeling Drake is coming back?

-Commercials!

-Bubba whispers something to and oh wow, I was right. Drake Morreaux is back and is stepping in for Elijah. I just had this weird feeling with how they were hammering home that Drake and Shiloh were the two best that something fishy was happening.

Team Bubba Playoff: Drake Morreaux vs. BJ Ray

-Drake gets a roll-up at the bell and wins in 6 seconds.

Winner: Drake Morreaux via pin at 6 seconds
-This was dumb as BJ was obviously in on all if this (shocking I know). If this was something “legit” Drake should have just came out and Bubba should have advanced him. To have a match means BJ had to go along with it. Not a fan of the way they handled Elijah’s injury this season compared to what they did with BJ’s injury last season.

-BJ then grabs the mic and calls out the legends. He tells Bubba he hates him and he will end him. He dares him to come down from his chair and put a hand on him. Taker tells Bubba it’s not worth it. Bubba gets to his feet and enters the ring. Bubba back off and Drake hits a slam. Bubba then calls out Zena and Bubba hands then Dudley Boy glasses. This is really stupid and is taking me out of this show. Drake hits Wassup and then Zena gets a table. They hit a double chokeslam through the table and Bubba leaves with Zena and Drake.

-That ending was just awful and took away any semblance of this being a “reality” show. Drake getting another chance is also dumb as per the rules of the show he was eliminated. They should have just had a replacement for Elijah from the point he was injured and then went from there. Just not a fan of how this played out. Thanks for reading!
