WWE News: AJ Styles Dealing With Hernia, Seth Rollins’ Injury Causes Changes To RAW
– It seems the injury bug has hit WWE at a very inconvenient time, as the company is currently on the road to Wrestlemania. According to The Wrestling Observer‘s Dave Meltzer (via SportsKeeda), AJ Styles is currently dealing with a hernia that has kept him out of action from recent live events. If he has to have surgery to correct the issue, he could be out of action for a few weeks.
Meltzer said: “AJ has a hernia. I don’t know where that would stand as far as tomorrow goes. That’s the injury.”
Roman Reigns suffered a similar injury back in September 2014 and it kept him on the shelf for two months.
– We previously reported that Seth Rollins was dealing with some injures that kept him off of live events, but at the time he was still scheduled to appear on RAW. He ended up not appearing, as his injuries seem to be keeping him out longer than expected. In this case, it caused changes to be made to the show.
Meltzer added (via SportsKeeda): “My impression was that they were gonna do McIntyre and Corbin against Strowman and Seth at the pay-per-view. Maybe the Kurt thing has to do with a replacement this week and set up whatever they were gonna do at the pay-per-view. Obviously, Seth wasn’t [able to work]. You know Kurt was there it was not a long-term storyline it was something added.“
