Anthony Bowens Says AEW Full Gear Will Be ‘Redemption Day’ For the Acclaimed
In an interview with ROAR Around the Ring (via Fightful, Anthony Bowens spoke about The Acclaimed getting a tag team title shot at AEW Full Gear, which he calls the team’s ‘redemption day’. They will face The Kings of the Black Throne, The Outrunners and champions Private Party.
Bowens said: “It’s exciting. I mean, I haven’t had that kind of match in New Jersey since 2022 when we wrestled Keith Lee and Swerve. The last time we were in New Jersey, it was kind of dramatic because Billy thought about retiring and took off his boots and he left them in the ring. So it’s a bit of a redemption day getting back to Full Gear in New Jersey, and also we’ve got the tag team titles on the line. Max and I have been trying to win the titles for a second time, to continue making The Acclaimed one of the best tag teams to ever do. So it’s a big special night. I got friends, I got family that’s going to be there. So I’m excited.“
