As previously reported, the wrestling industry was buzzing yesterday as news began surfacing that WWE intends to bring WrestleMania 43 to Saudi Arabia in 2027. A press release was issued on Wednesday (Sept. 10) announcing the news, but it was reportedly sent out earlier than intended before being pulled. PWInsider Elite (via WrestlingInc.com) has an update on the recent development for the signature premium live event.
According to the report, the deal for WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia is complete, and WWE sources expect an announcement to be made in the next 24 hours in Las Vegas, where TKO is promoting both Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford and AAA/WWE Worlds Collide. Yesterday’s announcement was reportedly made as “an error.” It’s unknown why the error was made, but it’s noted that WWE was not involved in the error being made.
Additionally, PWInsider reports that this will be the genuine WrestleMania and not an offshoot similar to The Greatest Royal Rumble. WWE is bringing the signature Royal Rumble event to Saudi Arabia for the first time in January 2026.
WrestleMania 42 is currently scheduled for Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18-19, 2026. It will be the first time WrestleMania has been held in the same venue in back-to-back years since 1989 with WrestleMania V.
Indianapolis, Indiana and New Orleans, Louisiana have both reportedly been promised a WrestleMania in the future. WrestleMania 42 was originally announced for New Orleans before it was moved to Las Vegas instead. It’s unknown which cities are the frontrunners for WrestleMania 44 in 2028.
