As previously reported, former WWE Champion AJ Styles signed a new contract with WWE, but there aren’t any details yet on the terms of the new role. Bryan Alvarez had more insight on Styles’ new role moving forward with WWE on today’s Wrestling Observer Live.
According to Alvarez, Styles will now be working as a producer in WWE moving forward. The role makes sense considering Styles’ recent comments on the Talk N Shop Podcast, where the now-retired wrestler explained that he wants to help young WWE Superstars and the next generation.
AJ Styles said during the podcast, “I’m still going to be working with WWE. That’s not going to change. I’ve these dreams and aspirations of helping out younger talents and helping them get ready.” He added, “And if somebody is not ready once they get there, it’s my job to hopefully help them get to that point where they can do it; they are confident when they step into a WWE ring.”
Additionally, during the tribute to Styles on Monday’s Raw, WWE Hall of Famer and Styles’ WrestleMania 36 opponent, The Undertaker, appeared, announcing Styles as the latest WWE Hall of Fame inductee for the Class of 2026. Styles will be inducted into the Hall of Fame later this April during WrestleMania Week.
