Last week, AEW star Jay White had the wrestling community buzzing when he shared a cryptic message, writing, “Ready?” on social media. Was there something to his tweet, and Jay White being ready to return to AEW? Fightful Select Answers Q&A has an update on the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and former AEW World Trios Champion.

Speaking on the Fightful Weekly Q&A Podcast, Sean Ross Sapp expressed that White was likely “trolling” with his recent post on his X account. As previously noted, White has been sidelined with hand and shoulder injuries.

Fightful also notes that White was initially sidelined with a hand injury that was going to take a number of months to heal. Additionally, White had also been suffering from a shoulder injury that also reportedly required additional attention, and White had to get it dealt with as well.

White is reportedly expected to be out for the rest of the year due to his injuries, resulting in the Bang Bang Gang struggling to stay together on TV as of late. The former IWGP Champion last wrestled on the March 29 episode of AEW Collision, where he beat Kevin Knight in a singles bout.

As previously noted, White’s stablemate, Colten Gunn, is also out of action due to an injury he suffered in July. In the meantime, the Bang Bang Gang appears to be adding Ace Austin to their ranks, with Austin telling RJ City on Hey! (EW) that there is a “process” for him to officially join the stable. He said at the time, “eah, we’re… there’s paperwork, you know, there’s a process.”

It’s currently unknown when Jay White will be able to return to AEW TV.
