Brody King wanted to get a match with MJF on this week’s AEW Dynamite, but the World Champion’s answer was a big “no.” Wednesday night’s show opened with MJF coming to the ring to be interviewed by Tony Schiavone. The Salt of the Earth spoke about his win over Bandido on last week’s Maximum Carnage episode of Dynamite.

King came out to interrupt MJF, taking issue with MJF’s post-match attack on the ROH World Champion. King said that he would love to put his fist through MJF’s chest but would settle for knocking him out, dropping him on his head and taking the AEW World Championship.

MJF shot King down, saying that he’s talking a lot but needs to beat a few top names before he can get a shot at the World Championship. He denied being afraid of King and told King not to interrupt him again.

You can see highlights from the segment below.

MJF defeated Bandido on last week’s Dynamite in the main event and then, after putting him over on the mic, assaulted his opponent. He fled the ring when King came down to make the save in the final moments of the episode.
