– Speaking on the latest Something to Wrestle With, Bruce Prichard discussed Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle’s physical confrontation backstage at a September episode of Smackdown. The situation went down after an angle in the ring involving Angle, Guerrero and Big Show. Guerrero felt that Angle had stiffed him in the ring, while Angle thought Guerrero had messed up the timing of the angle. Guerrero went after Angle and tried a double-leg takedown, but Angle front facelocked him and the fight was quickly broken up.

Prichard recalled of the incident:

“I was there for it. I didn’t see the actual attempted takedown. And what it was, is they got into it, and it was apparently a little shove here. But Eddie tried to double-leg [takedown] Kurt, and Kurt just front facelocked Eddie and got him down, and everybody got between them, thank God. But right afterward, Eddie’s sitting on a table right outside of gorilla. And I’d heard of this, and I come running up, and I look at him, ‘Well what the f**k happened?? What were you thinking?’ [Eddie said], ‘I don’t know, man. I’m just stupid.’ [laughs] ‘He’s a f**king Olympic gold medalist!’ He goes, ‘I know! I’m just stupid man, okay?’ And it was a pissed-off Eddie, because he realized — it was tempers flaring, hot-headedness. And Eddie could be very — very passionate at times. And Kurt was an Olympic gold medalist that could pretty much do whatever he wanted with you.”
