Bully Ray Thinks AEW Utilized Sting Properly
– During a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray discussed Sting having his last match this weekend, along with Sting’s overall run in AEW. Below are some highlights (via WrestlingInc.com):
Bully Ray on Sting’s run in AEW: “I think Sting was utilized properly in TNA; I think Sting was properly utilized in AEW. I think Tony’s done a great job with Sting, featuring him as ‘The Icon,’ the legend, putting him in matches where he could be protected yet featured.”
On speaking to Sting and thanking him; “I spoke to Sting last night. Because I just wanted to tell him thank you. Thank you for allowing me to work with you. Thank you for being kind to me. The last thing I said to Sting was ‘I love you, brother.’ And he said ‘I love you,’ back.”
On Sting’s last match: “And now his dad will be looking down from Heaven, and Sting being a devout Christian, knows his dad is going to be watching on from Heaven — I hope he can give his dad that last match that he would have liked to see.”
Sting will wrestle his last match this weekend at AEW Revolution 2024. He will team with Darby Allin to defend their AEW Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks. The event will be held on Saturday, March 3 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. It will be broadcast live on pay-per-view.
