Carmelo Hayes Thinks Bobby Lashley & Street Profits Are High On Him, Is Focused on NXT

Carmelo Hayes is a fan of Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits, and believes that the feeling is mutual. Hayes, who is set to defend the NXT Championship at NXT No Mercy this weekend, spoke with Comic Book Nation and during the conversation, he was asked if he would ever be down to help out the Smackdown trio if needed.

“Those are all guys that I’m very, very high on and I know vice versa, I think they’re very high on Trick and I as well,” Hayes said (per Fightful). “Shoot, I wish the best for them. As of right now, my main focus is what I’m doing here in NXT. I’m focused on this NXT Championship run, I’m focused on holding the company on my back, I’m focused on that.”

He continued, “So it’s hard for me to kind of one eye over here, one eye over there. A lot of people doing that for me, but little do they know I’m so solely focused on what I’m doing here in NXT and that’s being the NXT Champion and defending this championship against Ilja Dragunov at No Mercy.”
