CM Punk and Shawn Michaels Tease Appearance At NXT Deadline

UPDATE: PWInsider reports that CM Punk is indeed backstage at tonight’s NXT Deadline event in Bridgeport, CT. He is expected to make an appearance on the show.

Original: In a post on his Instagram Story, CM Punk said that he “missed his flight” and was currently hanging around Bridgeport, CT. This led to Shawn Michaels inviting him to speak in person, as NXT Deadline will be held in Bridgeport tonight. Punk previously suggested he could call HBK about possibly working the brand on last night’s Smackdown. The current storyline is that Punk is a free agent and will make his decision on Monday’s RAW.

Michaels wrote: “Since you’re in Bridgeport and have some time, let’s forgo the phone call and talk in person.”
