– Follow all of my reviews at this link.

Csonka: There Will Never Be Another Bobby Heenan.

– Asuka’s coming to kill some bitches…

– Elias arrives, and sings a tune, burying Apollo Crews and Los Angeles…

Apollo Crews vs. Silas: They work some basic back and forth to begin. Crews picks up the pace, hitting arm drags, dropkicks and then a side headlock takeover. Crews then looked for the apron enziguri, but Elias tripped him up and sent him to the floor. Post break, Elias works the heat on Crews, hits the mule kick and covers for 2.Elias grounds the action, but Crews battles back and hits a suplex and clothesline. The standing shooting star press connects, and Crews covers for 2. The enziguri sends Elias to the floor. Crews tosses him backing, heads up top but Elias avoids him and slams him to the corner. Drift away ends Crews’ night. Elias defeated Apollo Crews @ 8:20 via pin [**] This was your usual fine, but completely skippable kickoff show match. I can’t wait for the time filling rematch on tomorrow’s Raw.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Jason Jordan vs. The Miz: Axel & Dallas are with Miz, Mayse and Miz Jr to be are at home. They work some solid back and forth; Jordan starts to use his power and speed, taking control and hitting suplexes. We get some brief floor brawling, but Miz takes control as Dallas and Axel distracted Jordan. Back in and Miz hits a DDT, covering for 2. Booker absolutely buries Jordan for not being deserving of the match, claiming that daddy Kurt is protecting him. Jordan keeps trying to fight back, but Miz cuts him off with the “it” kicks. Jordan cuts off the final big kick, hitting a suplex and slamming Miz to the buckles, and hitting a Saito suplex for a near fall. Jordan then hits the rolling northern lights suplexes for 2. Booker claims it’s the first time he saw this, forgetting he’s been working Raw. They work to the floor; Jordan fights off Axel &Dallas, and then brings Miz back in and works the crossface. Miz makes the ropes and Jordan misses the corner spear, eating buckles. Miz hits the corner clothesline, but Jordan catches him and hits a suplex. Axel & Dallas get involved just as Jordan looked to have things won, allowing Miz to hit the skull-crushing finale (to a pop) for the win. Champion The Miz defeated Jason Jordan @ 10:13 via pin [***¼] This was a good match, Jordan has been having good in ring performances, but the son of Kurt storyline has really doomed him because it’s made him a target for the fans to hate. I found it amusing that Miz got a pop for cheating and that WWE thought Jordan would get a face reaction his post match promo. Hopefully they understand that the heel turn will eventually be the best for him.

– Jordan cuts a promo, rambling on about losing but wanting a rematch and saying Miz sucked. Jordan again showed frustration after his loss, so that heel turn should be coming.

Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt: Balor Is all like, ”No face paint? Fine, FUCK YOU, I’LL WEAR MY BLUE GEAR!” Wyatt attacks before the bell, and betas down Balor on the floor. Refs arrive to check on Balor, and Wyatt runs down Balor as a coward and the mighty little hero of the fans. Wyatt then says Balor ain’t shit. Bringing Balor back to the ring. The match officially starts, Balor sends Wyatt to the floor, hitting a dive and shotgun dropkick. Back in the ring and Wyatt cuts off Balor, attacking the ribs. Wyatt hits a superplex, covering for 2. Balor tried to battle back, but Wyatt hit a DDT on the apron. Back in and Wyatt works a cravat, but Balor escapes and looks to fire up, but gets sent to the floor. Balor traps Wyatt in the ring skirt and kicks the shit out of Wyatt. Back in, Wyatt does his spider walk gimmick and that distracts Balor, allowing Wyatt to hit the uranage and running senton for 2. Balor battles back, hitting the PELE and standing double stomp for 2. The basement dropkick connects, and Balor heads up top only to be cut off by Wyatt. Balor shoves Wyatt to the mat and hits the double stomp to the back, covering for 2. Balor looks for 1916,but Wyatt cuts him off with a lariat. The dump suplex follows for Wyatt, heads to the ropes, but Balor cuts him off with kicks. Back to the mat and Balor hits shotgun dropkicks; the Coup De Grace finishes it. Finn Balor defeated Bray Wyatt @ 11:40 via pin [***]

This was good, one of the better outings they have had, but I am done and have no desire to see it again. My only real complaint is that if you’re going to take time to set up the rib damage, Wyatt has to stay more locked in on that work. Finn’s selling was really good, and the right guy won.

RAW Tag Team Championship Match: Cesaro and Sheamus vs. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins: The challengers take the champs to the floor, they beat down Rollins a bit and then work over Ambrose. Cesaro hits the swing on Ambrose into the steps. They take the heat on Ambrose, the ref checks on Ambrose’s arm and he says he’s fine. He’s really not because Sheamus & Cesaro work him over and try to rip his arm off. Ambrose posts Cesaro (he lost some fucking chompers on that), Rollins gets the hot tag and runs wild, hitting blockbusters, sling blades and superkicks. Sheamus cuts off Rollins, allowing Cesaro to tag out. Sheamus hits a series of backbreakers, covering for 2. Sheamus & Cesaro work double teams on Rollins, Sheamus argues with the ref, giving Rollins time to recover and to fight back. Sheamus posts himself, Rollins sends Cesaro to the floor. We get wholesale changes to Ambrose and Sheamus, Ambrose dumps Sheamus and hits a suicide dive. Back in and Cesaro distracts Ambrose, allowing Sheamus to attack. Ambrose shoves him to the mat, hits the elbow drop press for 2 as Cesaro makes the save. Rollins takes out Sheamus, but Cesaro tosses him and locks in a sharp shooter on Ambrose and then transitions into a crossface. The challengers hit the double crucifix bomb on Ambrose for 2. Sheamus and Cesaro keep control, Rollins tries to make the save but Sheamus hits white noise on Ambrose and Cesaro powerbombs Rollins onto Ambrose for a great near fall. Cesaro holds back Rollins, Ambrose avoids the brogue kick and then Sheamus hits Cesaro with one by accident; Sheamus eats the ripcord knee strike and dirty deeds. The champions retain. Champions Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins defeated Sheamus & Cesaro @ 15:55 via pin [****] While I didn’t like their Summerslam match as much as most (I thought it was VERY good) I liked this one even more and thought it was great. Their chemistry has gotten very good, this had a better layout, better pacing and even better heat due to the drama and added aggression due to Cesaro losing some chompers early on. I am all in on these guys, they can feud on and on for a long time for all I care. Just keep being awesome and offering up some slight changes to keep it fresh.

RAW Women’s Championship Fatal 5 Way Match: Bayley vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax vs. Emma vs. Alexa Bliss: Jax takes out Bliss early, and then Jax gets sent to the floor. Banks takes out Emma, and it comes down to her and Bayley. Jax cuts off Banks, tosses her to the barricade and then starts working over Emma and Bayley. Jax then hits corner splashed on Emma and Bliss. Jax then snags up Bliss & Banks and does a squat before hitting the Samoan drop on both. Bayley makes the save on the pin, locks in the guillotine on Jax, they go to the ropes and as Bayley hangs on the rest dump Jax to the floor. Emma and Bliss work over Banks, but that quickly ends as Emma went for a pin and they brawl. Jax is back, they all attack and powerbomb Jax from the apron to the floor! Bah gawd she got folded up on that. Bliss works over Emma, but Bayley cuts her off. Emma follows with the corner splash on Bayley & Bliss, covering for 2. Banks is back, hits a bulldog and knee strike and drops banks with a right. Banks hits the backstabber into the Banks statement. Bayley makes the save, hits Bayley to Bayley, it breaks down as Jax returns and picks up a near fall. Emma is tossed, Jax posts herself and Bliss hits the DDT on Bayley to retain. Champion Alexa Bliss defeated Bayley and Sasha Banks, Nia Jax, and Emma @ 10:14 via pin [***½] This was very good, with everyone working hard, a hot crowd and a great pace and near falls down the stretch. Very good work from the ladies tonight.

– Bliss cuts a promo about being the Goddess of the division.

Roman Reigns vs. John Cena: They lockup and Reigns goes to the power game early. Cena teases walking away, allowing Reigns to attack from behind. Back to the ring they go, Reigns lays in rights, taking Cena down. Cena tries to fight back, but Reigns stops that and works him over in the corner and tosses him to the floor. Reigns follows, but Cena slams him to the steps. Reigns quickly fights back, slamming Cena to the steps. The drive by follows by Reigns, and he talks some shit to Cena. Back in and Reigns covers for 2. Reigns continues his assault, laying in strikes and keeping Cena down. Cena tries to fire back, but Reigns cuts him off with kicks and covers for 2. Cena fights out of the chinlock, and hits the shoulders block but gets cut off again. Cena hits another shoulder block and the proto bomb. The five-knuckle shuffle is cut off by a Samoan drop for 2. Reigns hits corner clotheslines, but Cena hits another proto bomb and a five-knuckle shuffle. Reigns escapes the AA and follows with the big boot. Reigns looks for a superman punch, but Cena counters into an STF. Reigns counters out and hits the single armed powerbomb, covering for 2. Reigns talks shit again, they trade strikes, Cena catches the superman punch and turns it into an AA but Reigns kicks out. Cena heads up top, but Reigns counters the fameasser into a powerbomb for 2. Reigns hits the superman punch, but Cena kicks out. Reigns looks to finish things, sets for the spear but Cena sidesteps him and Reigns posts himself. Cena pulls Reigns to the ropes and they head up top. Cena looks for a super AA, hits it and covers but Reigns kicks out. Cena now heads to the floor, clears off announce tables. They climb onto one, Cena looks for ran AA but Reigns escapes and spears Cena off and through the second table. Reigns landed badly on that. Back in the ring, Reigns covers Cena for 2. Reigns looks for a spear, but runs into an AA and Cena rolls through and hits another but Reigns is like, “nah man, I’m good,” and kicks out at 2. Commentary heavily hypes that Cena doesn’t know what to make of this, so Reigns just hits a superman punch and spear to pickup the win. Roman Reigns defeated John Cena @ 22:45 via pin [] I thought that this was a very good, but not great match. They had commentary heavily tell the story that Cena was the “old warhorse” possibly coming to his end and questioning himself against Reigns. They gave Cena enough to make it competitive, but Reigns largely dominated before picking up the big win. With Cena’s schedule outside of WWE and the company’s goal to push Reigns no matter what, the finish made sense, Again, this was very good, but in my opinion, it could have used a few minutes trimmed off and a better built to finish.

– Post match, Cena raises Reigns’ hand and they hug. Cena sits in the ring post match, contemplating his dialogue in the new Bumble Bee movie, and wondering if he can get with Hailee Steinfeld without Nikki Bella finding out. He then gets some thank you Cena chants as he looks around, smiles and leaves. That felt like they were writing him off for a while, and considering his movie schedule, it makes sense.

– Miz arrives and meets with Kurt Angle. Miz mocks Jordan for losing, and on Raw wants to do Miz TV, and to interview Roman Reigns. Angle agrees to this.

– Enzo does his shtick, wearing a suit that looks like he’s about to ref the match, or that he got it from a Beetlejuice estate sale. He then calls Neville ugly

WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match: Enzo Amore vs. Neville: Neville easily outwrestles Enzo to begin, and eventually lets him go to get the ropes. Neville says this is too easy and works the arm. Enzo tries to get fancy, so Neville trips him up and sends him to the floor. Enzo stuns Neville off the ropes, takes V down and looks for a DDT but is caught and slammed to the corner. Neville takes it to the floor and slams Enzo to the barricade. We get a countout tease, Enzo makes it back in, Neville tries toss him, Enzo skins the cat back in and eats a superkick. Enzo kicks out at 2, and we get this is boring chants now. Neville continues his assault, heads up top, but stalls as the crowd chants for him, he misses a second rope Phoenix splash, allowing Enzo to hit his DDG off the ropes for 2. Enzo does his stupid dance, Neville kicks him in the face and tosses him into the timekeepers area. Enzo grabs the belt, posing with it and Neville chases him. Back in the ring, Enzo gives the ref the belt and kicks Neville low and rolls him up for the win. Enzo Amore defeated Neville @ 10:45 via pin [*] The story of this match was the story of Enzo since moving to 205 live. They want him to be a star, he does his mic work and plays to the crowd, but cant’s hang with anyone in the ring and has to cheat to win. He’s a joke, but a talented one, because it takes a lot to have a bad match with Neville. Austin Aries is all like, “and now you know why I left.”

WWE Universal Championship Match: Braun Strowman vs. Brock Lesnar: Lesnar shoots on Braun, who just tosses him aside. Lesnar hits a suplex, but Braun pops up and hits a chokeslam and running powerslam for 2. Braun follows with corner attacks, Lesnar looksforanF5 but Braun cuts that off and sends him to the floor. Braun then works the back, slamming Lesnar to the post. Back in and Braun repeatedly slams Lesnar to the corners. Lesnar finally avoids a charge, and he locks in a hanging kimura. Braun falls to the mat, makes the ropes and hits a desperation spinebuster for 2. Lesnar hits a German, another and a third. Lesnar then hits a 4th and a 5th. Lesnar looks for an F5, but Braun counters into a power slam and both men are down. Braun powers up and hits another powerslam. Lesnar then hits the F5, and that’s it. Champion Brock Lesnar defeated Braun Strowman @ 8:45 via pin [**] That was a really flat finish, it felt as if they left out a part and just jumped to the F5. The match was ok ,but disappointing and felt like a waste of Braun’s first one on one PPV title match. See you in January Brock.

– Judging by tonight, it still looks like Brock vs. Roman at Mania.

– End scene.

– Thanks for reading.

The show started off strongly with good wrestling, but faded badly in the final two matches, dragging things down. This was an average show, which could have been better.
