Backstage Details on Danhausen Signing with WWE, AEW Extending His Deal Last Year

Danhausen made his WWE debut at Elimination Chamber on Saturday night, revealing himself as the man inside the mystery crate. His debut follows a social media post on Friday that teased his free agency, followed by AEW removing him from their roster page on Saturday.
BodySlam+ reports that he has signed a multi-year deal with WWE. They add that WWE actually wanted to sign him back in July of 2025, but AEW ended up extending his deal even though Danhausen had personally requested them to not extend his deal if they didn’t plan to use him.
He’s expected to be at WWE RAW on Monday in Indianapolis.
WWE Elimination Chamber saw Randy Orton win the Men’s Chamber match, while Rhea Ripley won the Women’s Chamber match. Also on the show, CM Punk retained the World Heavyweight Title against Finn Balor while AJ Lee defeated Becky Lynch to win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title.
