During today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked a mailbag question about AEW wrestler and former NWA Women’s World Champion, Kamille. Kamille hasn’t appeared on AEW TV since November 2024, being written off TV after she was attacked by a mystery assailant.
The mailbag asked if Kamille will return to AEW TV now that she’s finished filming the American Gladiators reboot. As noted, Kamille joined the cast of the reality competition series as one of the new “Gladiators” along with AEW’s Michael Wardlow.
Bryan Alvarez noted that he doesn’t expect Kamille back in AEW. Meltzer added, “I don’t expect her. She did not do well when she was there. And that’s your answer. She didn’t do well while she was there. If she had done well, you know, she’d have lasted longer.”
During a March 2025 interview with the Battleground Podcast, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan commented on Kamille again, stating, “We don’t know who attacked Kamille, and the last time we saw her, she was attacked. We know she had a breakup with Mercedes Mone in their business relationship.” He indicated that Kamille will return at some point, adding, “When Kamille does return to get payback for that attack, it’ll be interesting to see who she goes after and what that was.”
The wrestler and athlete also recently appeared in the wrestling-themed movie Queen of the Ring, where she portrayed June Byers opposite Emily Bett Rickards as Mildred Burke.
The wrestler signed with AEW earlier last year. She later debuted on AEW TV in July during the Blood & Guts Dynamite show, allying with Mercedes Mone.
