Diamond Dallas Page recently shared his thoughts on Sol Ruca’s Sol Snatcher, while also naming his favorite variations on the Diamond Cutter. While the WWE Hall of Famer didn’t create the cutter finisher, he helped popularize the move that has turned into a staple of finishers. Everyone from Randy Orton and Ethan Page have incorporated it into their repertoires, while people like Ruca and Cody Rhodes, and Je’Von Evans have come up with their own variations.

DDP was a guest on The A2theK Wrestling Show and was asked what he thought of the Sol Snatcher, noting that it’s athletically astonishing but requires a lot of the opponent in terms of being there. He also talked about some of his favorites, like Rhodes’ and Sammy Guevara’s. You can see the highlights below:

On the Sol Snatcher:

“Wow. Athletically, wow. But it’s just as important for the girl to be there, you know? I mean, she could make her look really stupid in that scenario. And my theory was always, if you don’t go, you’re going. Just so you know, it’s not like I’m gonna let go of you, you know? Like you’re going.”

On His Favorite Cutter Variations:

“To me, like, I love — I think the Cody cutter is good. I think there’s a lot of really good ones. My favorite two, one is Cody and Sammy Guevara. That was like, there was so much room for error. There was so many things that could have happened. But you know, Cody is the best dance partner, and ain’t because he’s my boy. He is a great dance partner for anyone in any style. Um, but Sammmy’s like a f**king cat, man. Sammmy is a great mechanic, you know? It reminds me a lot of Eddie Guerrero as far as the s**t that he can do…

“I saw one the other day where, I can’t remember who the guys were. But they were they were both on a turnbuckle. And it looked like they were about to do a splash, but they’re on opposite sides and they went right in and met with a cutter. I was like, ‘Holy s**t.'”

On the RKO:

“I love freaking, Randy’s out of nowhere. Him and [Dolph Ziggler] did out of a power bomb. You know, Zigg — I don’t know how Zigg, how he can still go. He must not ever drink or do drugs or anything. That’s one of the reasons why a lot of these guys have been able to do the stuff that they can do. Because they’re not f**ked up every night, you know? They’re not f**ked up. They’re not popping f**king five somas at a time or a handful of Vicodin. They’re not doing that. And they’re not drinking.”
