Dominik Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano for AAA Mega Championship Confirmed for Triplemania 34 Night Two

The date for Dominik Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano for the AAA Mega Championship has been confirmed.

Tonight’s episode of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide kicked off with a wild brawl between Dominik and Americano. The two were eventually separated by General Manager Rey Mysterio, who ended up having a run-in with his son.

After Dominik retreated, El Grande Americano grabbed a microphone and said that his problem with Mysterio is much bigger than what anyone thinks, as he is worried about how the current era of Lucha Libre will be remembered with Dom as Mega Champion. He said Dom doesn’t deserve to be talked about in the same breath as other Lucha Libre legends, including his father, Rey Mysterio.

Americano took shots at Dominik’s claim that he is the king of the luchadores, noting that a king doesn’t run away from a fight and claiming that, unlike past legends, Mysterio has spent his time taking away from wrestling rather than contributing toward it.

Toward the end of his promo, El Grande confirmed that the AAA Mega Championship match between him and Dominik will take place at Triplemania 34 Night Two in Mexico City.

AAA Triplemania 34 will take place across two nights, with Night One emanating from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada, on September 11. Night Two will be hosted by Mexico City on September 13.
