Another name is gone from TNA Wrestling, and this one is a former TNA World Champion. Fightful Select reports that Eric Young has come to terms with TNA on his release.
There are no other details yet regarding Young’s exit. Young recently competed at last Sunday’s TNA Countdown To Slammiversary 2026, losing to Ricky Sosa during the pre-show.
Young previously returned to TNA (formerly Impact Wrestling) in July 2023. He re-joined the promotion after requesting his release from WWE. Young had re-signed with WWE in November 2022, but never appeared on TV, later requesting his release from his contract. Young reportedly didn’t want to work with former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon for “moral, creative and personal” reasons.
Eric Young has a long history with TNA Wrestling, going back to 2004 when he debuted as part of Team Canada. Young became a two-time TNA World Champion, winning the belt in both April 2014 and August 2020. He’s also a former X-Division Champion, World Tag Team Champion, and one time TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion with ODB.
