Gable Steveson saw his second UFC fight end in very short order, with the former WWE star being knocked out in just 12 seconds. Saturday night’s show saw Steveson face Sean Sharaf in his second UFC fight, having won his first one in July.
Steveson came in as an overwhelming favorite to defeat Sharaf, who was 0 – 2 in the UFC thus far. However, things turned out unexpected as Sharaf landed a left hook to knock Steveson out after a tiny bit of feeling each other out.
Steveson has drawn criticism for his behavior after last night’s loss as well. After the loss, he quickly exited the cage rather than wait for the result announcement as is tradition. His exit to Daniel Cormier saying on commentary, “You cannot be a great winner and then an ungrateful loser, and I think that was bad from Steveson.” UFC Fighters Julian Marquez and Dustin Jacoby also questioned Steveson’s post-loss behavior.
You can see the entirety of the fight in the clip below. This marks the first professional MMA loss for Gable Steveson, who is now 4 – 1 in his MMA career. He made his pro MMA debut at LFA 217 in September of last year. He was previously signed to WWE from 2021 through 2024, and had a brief flirtation with pro football when he signed to the Buffalo Bills despite never having played before. His tenure there lasted just three months in the summer of 2024.
