GFW Refuses Comment on Jeff Jarrett’s Leave & Reported Ownership Issues
– Yesterday it was reported that Jeff Jarrett is taking an indefinite leave of absence to “focus on personal matters.” Following that announcement, it was reported that Ed Nordholm made the decision today for Jarrett to take time away from the company due to Jarrett’s erratic behavior. It was also reported that the merger between GFW and Anthem is “nowhere near as completed” as has been stated. Global Force Wrestling, LLC, which Jarrett launched in 2014, still owns the trademarks for Global Force Wrestling and GFW.
Today it was reported that Global Force Wrestling, under Anthem Media’s ownership, has been “hemorrhaging funds” and that “sources close to the situation have confirmed that Anthem is ready to withdraw itself from the wrestling industry and sell GFW.”
GFW held a media call today, and according to PWinsider.com, Ross Forman read the statement that the company released yesterday about Jeff Jarrett taking a “leave of absence” from GFW and then made it clear that they would not be taking ANY questions from reporters about the situation on today’s call. Nothing else about Jarrett was discussed and they didn’t comment on the ownership issues reported today.
