Goldberg has once again called out WWE and Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque over the mishandling of his retirement send-off. The former Universal Champion had his farewell bout at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta, Georgia, last July. He lost to then-World Heavyweight Champion Gunther in his swan song. After the match, the WCW veteran grabbed the microphone to address the live audience and fans worldwide.
However, he was less than a minute into his speech when the show abruptly went off the air. Goldberg has since publicly called out WWE on multiple platforms. He took more shots at WWE and Triple H during a recent meet-and-greet session after a fan brought up the incident.
The fan said, “Hey, you know, what really pissed me? When WWE cut off your mic at your final performance.”
In response, Goldberg said, “What do you think it did for me? It didn’t make me really happy. It just shows what disrespect they have.”
When the fan asked if Triple H was the one behind it, Goldberg said, “Probably!”
The fan added, “Yeah, he’s a jacka**, man,” and the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion said, “100%.”
