Greg DeMarco’s Bold Predictions for WWE Elimination Chamber

411Mania’s Greg DeMarco gets you ready for Sunday’s WWE Elimination Chamber in style with his B.O.L.D. Predictions!

On Sunday, May 31st, the WWE presents their Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, or as the writers of the TV show Friends would have called it, “The One That Wasn’t On The Calendar.”

Elimination Chamber follows the entertaining Payback event, which followed a surprisingly entertaining Extreme Rules. Money In The Bank is only two more weeks away (yet BattleGround is 5 weeks after that…), but the WWE has worked hard to ensure it’s not an afterthought.

Well, either that or they got lucky.

So precisely what is going to happen at Elimination Chamber on Sunday? For answers to that question you should check out our 411Mania Roundtable Preview!

Because contained below are bold predictions for the event. Not likely to happen, these are indeed B.O.L.D.: Bullheaded, Outlandish, Lascivious, and Deplorable. But if one hits, I can promise you’ll never hear the end of it!

Now then, let’s have some fun!

Ambrose Shocks The World

Start strong? Don’t mind if I do!

I called this for Payback, and I am calling it now. Dean Ambrose (or Dean Fucking Ambrose as we call him on The Greg DeMarco Show, thanks to the fine folks at Heelbook) is a mega star in waiting for the WWE. And I mean mega. Like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, era defining mega. He has the “it” that cannot be explained. You can’t teach it (#Enzo) and if someone doesn’t show up with it, they likely never will.

Dean Ambrose has “it,” and he has it in spades.

Seth Rollins is the “Golden Boy of The Authority,” and he plays that role perfectly. He’s so golden he’s taken on Triple H’s finisher, The Pedigree. And to me, that’s a sign that he will one day stand in the ring Triple H not as an ally, but an adversary. But that time isn’t here yet.

What is here is Dean Ambrose, and in an era where John Cena is elevating what the WWE now considers a tertiary title, the lead dog role is up for grabs. Dean Ambrose win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Elimination Chamber, and goes on to defend against John Cena at SummerSlam. Remember the Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins rumors? That happens, but it’s not for the title—it’s for revenge.

And Money In The Bank? That goes to Roman Reigns, who while a friend to Ambrose (and possible someone who helps eliminate The Authority from this match) will have some friction because he’d now be the only Shield member not to be world champ.

Return Of The Monster

Look, we all know Kane is in the twilight of his career. He turned being a short term foil for The Undertaker into a Hall of Fame run, but all good things must come to an end.

And do you want to see Corporate Kane be the way he ends his run?

Yeah, me neither.

That’s why we need our monster back. And while I predicted above that Roman Reigns will remove The Authority from the world title match, what I left out is that the main removal will come in the form of The Big Red Machine.

Because as much as I am tired of Kane being involved in storylines, I’d welcome him in this form. And I feel like the time is right for the Demon to come back.

The Part of Rusev Will Now Be Played By…

The Part of Rusev Will Now Be Played By…

In what could be a blessing in disguise (considering the path down which he was headed), Rusev was injured last week and will be out of action for the foreseeable future. This means he will need a replacement in the Elimination Chamber Intercontinental Championship match. The real answer isn’t Finn Balor, but it’s not who you’d normally expect, either.

Now, I know some reports have indicated Bray Wyatt might be that man, and on this week’s Greg DeMarco Show, 411 alum Steve Cook opined that The Big Show might see his return in the Chamber.

But I am going in a different direction. We’ll see one of Texas’ favorite sons make his return in Corpus Christi, as “The World’s Strongest Sexual Chocolate” Mark Henry shows up at Elimination Chamber seeking new tenants for the Hall of Pain.

And what’s more? He’s leaving with a new set of gold—the Intercontinental Championship—around his waist.

LOLNIKKIWINS

LOLCENAWINS. We’ve been hearing—and seeing—for years. Well there’s a new LOL in town, and her name is Nikki Bella.

The future Mrs. Cena (a wedding you’ll undoubtedly watch on Total Divas) has taken on a lot of attributes from her famous boyfriend. She’s upped her training game, gotten much better in the ring, and is totally owning her character for a year now.

She also doesn’t lose very often. Six of our pay-per-view analysts picked Naomi to win the Divas Championship, and all three selections on the Greg DeMarco Show were Naomi (remember, Steve Cook was picking for me). But I disagree here. Naomi is great and even has a new theme song. But she’s not walking away with the Divas Championship.

Why? LOLNIKKIWINS.

LOLCENALOSES

Now here’s the crazy thing! I was amongst all of those who expected John Cena to defeat Kevin Owens, sending him back to the NXT that he came from. I thought this entire feud was the product of a 2-week pay-per-view build, and the desire to not impede whatever the WWE has planned for John Cena long-term.

But then Kevin Owens signed a main roster contract and it’s reported that he’s starting immediately.

Now I think he’s going over. And on top of going over, he’s taking the United States Championship with him.

The match between Kevin Owens and John Cena is a non-title affair, but Kevin Owens has the mouth to change that. And he absolutely will. He said the fight would be on his terms, and it obviously is. His terms are going to change before this match’s opening bell rings on Sunday night, and John Cena will be goaded into putting the United States Championship on the line. Owens will cheat to win, and the next time he shows up in NXT he’ll have two titles with him.
