ICW sent out the following, commenting on Joe Coffey & Kenny Williams working WWE’s upcoming UK Tournament…

ICW STARS SET FOR WWE STARDOM – COFFEY AND WILLIAMS TO JOIN UK CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

WWE have announced that Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) stars Joe Coffey and Kenny Williams will participate in the company’s UK Championship Tournament, the winner of which will challenge WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday, 19 June.

Coffey and Williams join a number of ICW alumni with Zack Gibson and Dave Mastiff among the other six participants announced thus far. The opening-round matches will be held at WWE’s NXT brand’s show at the Download Festival 8-10 June at Donington Park in Derby before finishing in the Royal Albert Hall across 18-19 June.

Speaking after the announcement, ICW owner Mark Dallas said: “I couldn’t be prouder of Kenny Williams and Joe Coffey. I’ve watched them grow as performers and carry the weight of ICW on their shoulders as former World Heavyweight and Zero G Champions. I know they both have what it takes to go the distance and I look forward to watching the tournament unfold.”

Following his WWE debut on 205 Live this week, UK Championship Tournament participant Williams will compete at ICW: Fight Club this Sunday in the Garage in Glasgow.
