Impact Wrestling Rating Sinks to Series Original Low
– The rating for this week’s Impact Wrestling took a serious dive, dropping to its lowest point ever for an original, at least through its Spike TV/Destination America/Pop TV era. Thursday’s episode brought in a 0.02 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic and 226,000 viewers. Those numbers are down 67% and 11% from last week’s 0.06 and 255,000 viewers. The demo rating was the lowest since the December 29th, 2015 episode — the second on Pop TV — also had a 0.02. However, that was a “Best of Impact” year-end episode that was used to bide time until the show’s live debut the week after and essentially qualifies as a repeat.
The viewership was up from the Thanksgiving episode from two weeks ago, but was the non-holiday 2017 low point in that metric. The last time the show had a lower audience was the December 29th, 2016 episode which had 209,000 viewers. Per Showbuzz Daily, the show didn’t rank in the top 150 cable originals for the night.
