During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio at Fanatics Fest, former WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill commented on no longer facing Charlotte Flair one-on-one at WWE SummerSlam. Instead, she’ll be competing in a five-way Ladder Match for the interim WWE Women’s Title.
It looks like Jade Cargill finds the new development favorable. She commented (via Fightful), “I thought I was going into it with a one-on-one with Charlotte; she’s been costing me some big-time matches, I’m not happy about that. Right now, some changes have been made, and I’m very happy about that.” She continued, “I took out Rhea Ripley, you’re welcome. I have a clear path to taking back a title that I never truly lost.”
The Ladder Match also features Tiffany Stratton, Chelsea Green, Charlotte Flair, and either Giulia or Lash Legend. It takes place at WWE SummerSlam 2026: Night 2 on Sunday, August 2.
The WWE premium live event is being held at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It will air live on the ESPN App in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
