NXT Universe!!!! NXT’ers unite, for it is Tuesday, and that means a brand-new episode of the brand that really matters within the overarching WWE Universe!
(I mean, is there a point to be argued here?)
After two weeks’ worth of episodes taking place in the Theater at Madison Square Garden, the fun time gang of NXT are back in the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida!
Seeing that this Saturday is Deadline, there is bound to be a bigger emphasis on the final sell for the PLE and maybe not so much in terms of action tonight. Be that as it may, we will have an 8-man match, as the members of DarkState will face Joe Hendry, Myles Bourne, Leon Slater, and Je’Von Evans. This works because, obviously, Dion Lennox and the men who stand in opposition to them are in the Iron Survivor this Saturday.
As for the Women’s Iron Survivor match this Saturday, the five members of the match (Sol Ruca, Jordynne Grace, Kelani Jordan, Lola Vice, and Evolve Women’s Champion Kendal Grey) will hold a summit tonight. And, if the contract signing is anything to compare this to, I am sure this will go absolutely swimmingly and without any hitches!
And two weeks after The Culling turned on then-NXT Women’s Champion Tatum Paxley, Izzi Dame will explain why they did what they did to poor Paxley. All of this and, of course, so much more in store for us tonight!
So, how is everyone doing tonight? When it rains, it pours for my lovely sports teams. Not only did the Eagles get trucked by the Bears run game on Friday, the Flyers, despite being better than expected, lost their leading goal scorer, Tyson Forester, to a non-contact injury for the next two to three months. And, of course, the Pacers season is a masterclass in pain.
But, hey, wrestling cures all, Yo! So, let’s get ready to take this to the N(e)XT level!

Tonight, NXT is LIVE from the Performance Center (PC if you want to shorten it) in Orlando, Florida! Everyone’s favorite 2025 version of Abbott and Costello, Vic Joseph and Booker T Corey Graves are on the call tonight.
THEN!
NOW!
FOREVER!
TOGETHER!
The ladies are in the ring, along with Ava, for the Summit! Ava says the winner can change the path of their career forever. The floor is yours!
Sol Ruca says she got unsolicited advice from Ethan Page last week, but she is a championship caliber athlete. She usually doesn’t care what words come out of his mouth, but he is right. It’s been a rollercoaster year for her, she went from being a double champion to losing both titles and her best friend. There is a way for peace for her, and that is to win the Iron Survivor and walking into New Year’s Eve to win the title.
Jordyene Grace says that is nice, but she knows what it takes to win these types of matches. She is going to win Iron Survivor, and she will be the next champion.
Lola Vice says that’s cute. John Cena picked everyone in this ring, and she Vice City is always representing. She is born for this.
Kendal Grey says that no one knows what she is capable of, and she is going to show them what she can do.
Kelani Jordan says that is cute, but you are swimming with the big fish now. She says this is the biggest match that anyone can be involved in. Only Sol and herself have done this kind of match before, but her knee is all jacked up. You can all talk what you want, but at the end of the day.
(Sorry, the censor took over after that).
Fatal Influence is here! Jacy Jayne says she cannot wait to see who the loveable loser will be that she faces at New Year’s Evil. With the title back around her itty-bitty two-inch waist, order has been restored. She calls them all loveable losers. She calls Sol broken down, calls Kendal a loser, says she can run it back with Jordyne and Lola, she says Kelani is talking way too confident for someone who just lost her title.
Kelani says please, she would still be the Knockouts Champion if it wasn’t for this meathead (meaning Grace). She shoves Grace, so Jordynne tackles her to the ground. All hell breaks loose!
Joe Hendry and Thea Hail are in the back. Hendry riffs on what an honor it is to be picked by the Greatest of All Time for the Iron Survivor.
Stacks and Ariana Grace walk into scene laughing. They ridicule Hendry and Hail for losing to Ethan Page and Chelsea Green, saying that Page and Green should have picked a true power couple, like Channing and herself. Thea says that she could kick Ariana’s ass, so they will face each other tonight.
Well, tonight is now, as Hail is here for said match, up next!
COMMERCIALS!
Ava and security are walking in the back. She wants them to keep Kelani and Jordyne apart. She tells Fatal Influence that they will have a 6-woman match with Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, and Kendal Grey! They object, obviously, to no avail.
Thea Hail W/Joe Hendry vs. Ariana Grace W/Tatum “Stacks” Channing
The bell rings, as Grace takes Hail down to the mat. Hail tries to work her way out of the hold and hits an arm drag. Channing appears through the legs of Grace (giggity), which allows Grace to land some chops and strikes. Grace sandwiches Hail in the corner. Grace taunts Hail, but Thea with a backslide for a two. Another backslides for another two. Grace escapes to the floor. Channing consoles her, but Hail takes off and hits her with a tope!
Back in the ring, Hail with an exploder suplex. Channing tries to get involved, but Hendry around the ring, and he hits the Standing Ovation to Stacks! In the confusion, Hail locks on the Kimora, and Grace taps out!
WINNER: Thea Hail
TIME: 2:40
THOUGHTS: A quick squash match for Hail to pick up a win. Nothing wrong with that.
RATING: N/R
OTM are walking outside, and a car about runs them over. Andre Chase appears and OTM tells him the next time they see his guys, it will be on site. Chase asks if his guys are stupid and says you need to be a lot smarter lol.
Smoking Skull Briggs is here for a grudge match, next!
COMMERCIALS!
John Cena Segment! Appreciate them, because it all comes to an end on the 13th. Cena riffs on losing track of time. You can ask him about what he did in 2006, but he won’t remember it, because it’s five days a week, 300 days a year.
Ava and the guys involved in the Men’s Iron Survivor match are in the back. Robert Stone appears with an open box. He says that he didn’t open her mail. She tells the guys that the winner will get the advantage in the Iron Survivor Match. But, if Lennox and DarkState win, he gets to choose the advantage. The guys leave, Ava opens the box, and its coal. Okay then.
Josh Briggs vs. Tavion Heights
Briggs jumps Heights before the bell, and they brawl for a bit. Back in the ring, Briggs hits a chokeslam, but he gets a two. Heights fights back with some takedowns and throws. Briggs tries to grab Heights by the hair, but Tavion hits another front face slam. Briggs punches back, but Heights catches his big kick and with a float over overhead suplex. The cover for a two.
Heights with a Fireman’s carry to Briggs for another two. Sneaky reference by Vic, mentioning Sterling James. I wonder how that relates to Corey lol. Briggs ejects Heights from the ring and goes outside. He kicks Tavion in the face, but Heights picks him up and runs him through the barricade! The Censor has gone into full effect, so I will tell you that we are heading for PIP Break!
Heights has turned the tables as we return from break. Well, at least for a second, as Briggs hits a powerslam and a standing splash for a two. Briggs applies an armbar and puts his foot on the ropes. Okay then. Briggs misses an elbow drop, and Heights with some forearms. Tavion off the ropes and he hits a dropkick. Heights gets a tad bit overzealous, and Briggs trips Tavion into the corner shoulder first. Briggs with an Irish Whip, he follows it up with a running elbow strike. Another whip and another elbow. Third time is NOT the charm, as Heights ducks the elbow and hits a judo toss.
Heights fires up with some strikes. Off the ropes, and he hits a bowtie inverted slam. Briggs tries to introduce his chain to the match, but the ref removes it from the ring. While that happens, Heights has Briggs covered after a belly-to-belly, but he only gets a two. Heights argues with the ref, as Briggs hits him from behind. Big lariat follows from Briggs, and he gets the win.
WINNER: Josh Briggs
TIME: 11:35
THOUGHTS: Solid big man match. I like the potential of Heights, and while Briggs could be a player, I just feel he’s kind of boring in his delivery and his personality. Not a bad match, but not amazing, either.
RATING: ***
The Culling walk in the back. We will hear from Izzi Dame next!
COMMERCIALS!
The Culling arrive post-break. Izzi on the mic. You know what? Looking around, she gets it. She gets why everyone loves Tatum so much. You are losers. You don’t like to be alone. Sorry, but again, the censor is going to town. All she hears is why Izzi, why? Why would you betray Tatum? She didn’t betray her; she corrected a mistake. Did she think that her guidance was just a suggestion? She should not have ignored what she was telling. When you people ignored her, she carved out a character. She gave her a voice. She cared for her.
So, what did she do? She kept tripping over her same insecurities. She is stubborn. She feels passionate about this. She feels like everything that the Culling gave her was not good enough. Do you think it is a coincidence that, after Izzi took her under her wing, that she became a champion. She only became the NXT Champion because she allowed her to. And at Gold Rush, she showed that she could take it all away. She showed that she controls everything. News Flash, you don’t get to avoid me, so at Deadline, it will be Tatum and Izzi. She will finish what she started in New York. She has one final lesson for her. In San Antonio, she will end her.
Tatum is on the screen. Here she is! Why did you take what was steady and tear it apart? They worked so well together.
Izzi cuts her off and calls her pathetic and predictable. If you are really that upset about it, why don’t you bring your ass out here and do something about?
Tatum is scared, because she doesn’t know what she will become without Izzi on her shoulder. She is scared, because at Deadline, she has to make Izzi feel all of her pain.
Tatum walks off, as Izzi looks on amused.
To the back we go. We see Sol, Lola, and Kendal getting ready for their match. Zaria is here, and Sol Ruca says this doesn’t look like what it does. John Cena picked her for the Iron Survivor. Zaria says it doesn’t matter, because she will not have her back in the Iron Survivor match. Wren Sinclair says she has her back, although she isn’t as scary as Zaria. That’s helpful lol.
COMMERCIALS!
We return with a hype video/an explanation of the rules surrounding the Iron Survivor matches for both the men and women this Saturday.
WE GOT RIPPED OFF AND DIDN’T GET ALL OF THE WOMEN’S ENTRANCES. THAT’S BOOOOOOSHEEEEEEETTTTT LOL.
Fatal Influence vs. Kendal Grey, Lola Vice, and Sol Ruca
Lainey Reid and Lola will start at the bell, but all six women end up in the ring talking smack. It’s a slug fest, Vice says the ref will have his hands full, and I say I am jealous of her. Grey hits a moonsault, taking out Reid and Henley on the floor. Jayne with a CANNONBALL from the apron, though, as she takes out Vice and Grey. Vice says that’s cute, and she wipes out all the members of Fatal Influence with a moonsault.
Back in the ring, and Vice is teeing off on Reid. Ruca gets the tag, as she lays in some shots to Reid. Lainey reverses it, however, and tags in Henley. Fallon finds herself in the ring corner, as Grey enters the ring. Henley runs Grey into the opposite corner and continues to charge into her. Grey back with a dropkick for a two.
Reid gets the tag, and she hits a dropkick. Jayne with the tag, but Grey with a drop toehold into a pin for a one count. Jayne to the ropes, but a blind tag by Henley. Jayne distracts the ref, as Henley grabs Grey and throws into the ring apron. Fatal Influence pose on the apron as we hit PIP Break.
Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooourns.
Grey is still stuck in the ring and at the mercy of Fatal Influence as we return. Grey manages to hit an overhead suplex to Henley, but Jayne sneaks in and hits a basement dropkick for a two count. Henley with the tag. Grey manages to avoid the double team, she knocks Reid off the apron and rolls under Henley and Jayne to tag in Vice.
Vice goes after every member of Fatal Influence with aplomb as Grace imitates Booker lol. Vice hits corner but bumps to all the members of Fatal Influence. Ruca is in, she hits a backstabber on Reid right into Vice for a back fist strike. Henley makes a blind tag, as both Reid and Jayne hit a double team running knee to Ruca.
Everyone gets their shit in now lol. Ruca avoids the Rolling Encore, and she snatches the soul of Jayne. Damn, I hope she’ll be fine, but she losses the match tonight.
WINNER: Kendal Grey, Sol Ruca, and Lola Vice
TIME: 11:10
THOUGHTS: Great action from all six women involved in this match. Everything flowed quite well, and Corey is right, the Sol Snatcher is a thing of beauty.
RATING: ***1/2
Post match, the good girls are celebrating, but Zaria is here and she SPEARS Grey!
NXT Anonymous catches Je’Von Evans and Ricky Saints in the back. Evans says that Femi will be too busy beating his ass at Deadline lol. Saints laugh it off and say Evans is a future champion. Where is the lie? Evans goes to Iron Survivor, and he is going to win and move on New Year’s Evil. Evans says someday, Saints might wrestle in MSG as he leaves. That was a segment lol.
OTM is here for their match up next!
COMMERCIALS!
John Cena Segment, this one highlighting the year long history between CM Punk and himself. Punk calling Cena the Batman to his Joker just works for me, you know?
DarkState are in the back. Dion Lennox says he knows he wanted to bring some singles gold to the group, but he is all in on this tag team title run. He wants to give his tag team title to Saquan.
Oba Femi is here. The Ruler is here! Lennox says that the last time he was here, Oba blew him off. Look at him now. After Saturday, he hopes that Femi is the guy that he faces at New Year’s Evil, because he is going to knock those NFT’s down his throat.
Femi says he has come a long way, but Lennox says he is better than Femi.
OTM vs. Chase U
Chase U attack at the bell and send OTM out of the ring. Both guys clear the top rope and wipe out OTM. Back in the ring, and OTM give as good as they get. Bronco tags in and chops Connors around. Price tags back in, OTM look for the double move, but Price avoids it and tags out. Lucien Price kicks the kids face off, almost literally. Bronco with a big running knee to the face. The cover, but he breaks his own pin up.
Both members of OTM are in the ring, as Price drops Kale Dixon onto the knee of Bronco. Cover for a two. Dixon with a kind of codebreaker to keep Price at bay, and he tags in Connors. Connors off the ropes and he keeps sticking and hitting both members of OTM. Connors off the ropes with an enziguri and Tornado DDT to Bronco. The cover, but Price with the save.
SUPERKICKS by both members of Chase U to Bronco. They get a little too overzealous, tho, as OTM use the Chase U kids as human battering rams. Back in the ring, OTM put Dixon in the mud, and that’s game.
WINNER: OTM
TIME: 4:35
THOUGHTS: This was a good battle of the feisty, upstart Chase U kids against the established and more powerful OTM. The results were predictable lol.
RATING: **1/2
We see events from two weeks ago at a AAA show. To the here and now, as we see Ethan Page walking to his car, being followed by Ava. He is happy that John Cena is giving chances to less fortunate wrestlers for the Iron Survivor. He says he has the night off, but Ava says he is a double champion, and he hasn’t defended his North American Title in a while. Page says no one wants to face him, but Ava says she found someone. Mr. Iguana was in Ethan’s car! He speaks in tongues and drives off with Page’s car LOL! Page is mad, and Ava says (helpfully) that a reptile just stole his car.
COMMERCIALS!
Shiloh Hill is back to download us more information. He says he tried raccoon this past Thanksgiving and you just lost me lol. Could you imagine if he got eaten by wolves? Yeah, I couldn’t imagine. He brings up bring mentored by the Undertaker, and he told him to reach in and rip out their souls. He screams because he can.
Vic wants to know if Shiloh is only any watch lists lol.
Ava has made it official, as Ethan Page will defend his NXT North American Title against Mr. Iguana at Deadline! Corey and Vic run down the rest of the matches for the show.
I BELIEVE IN JOE HENDRY! And I believe in this main event (perhaps).
COMMERCIALS!
The State of the Dark are here!
DarkState vs. Joe Hendry, Leon Slater, Je’Von Evans, and Myles Bourne
The bell rings, as Bourne and Griffin start us off. Griffin overpowers Bourne and tags in Shugars. Shugars suplexes Griffin on top of Bourne. Shugars with a cravat. Bourne tries to fight it off, but Shugars keeps the hold on. Bourne manages to escape and hits a scoop slam.
Hendry gets the tag, as he applies a headlock to Shugars. Hendry with a hip toss, Shugars fights off the DDT, so Hendry hits a neck breaker for a two. His Fallaway slam is adverted, as Shugars tags out to Cutler James. Slater gets the tag as he charges in. He throws Evans into James for a splash of his own. A kick to the spine of James from Evans, cover for two.
Lennox gets the tag, as Evans off the ropes and he hits an arm drag. Cover for a two. Evans tags in Bourne, but Myles runs into a spinebuster from Dion. Shugars gets the tag, as they double team Bourne. Lennox strikes Hendry, so that draws EVERYONE into the ring as a brawl ensues! DarkState chuck all of their opponents into the barricade and into the ring steps as they are back in control as we head to PIP Break.
Evans and Shugar battle it out in the ring as we return from break. Evans wants the tag, but Shugars catches him and gets rolled up for a two count. Hendry does get the tag, but he gets isolated in the DarkState corner. Lennox pins Hendry and gets a two. Back to the corner they go, as Griffin tags in. Double team chops from DarkState, cover for a two by Griffin. Griffin rams Hendry’s head into the corner and proceeds to choke him across the top rope. Griffin picks up Hendry and tags in Shugars.
Saquon with a big shoulder tackle and a cover for two. Hendry tries to slide away, but James with the tag and he keeps Hendry at bay. Hendry is caught by a guillotine by Lennox, but he throws him up and over to break the hold. Hendry FINALLY tags out and Slater is in!
Slater with a corkscrew kick and an enziguri. He tries to take on both Griffin and Lennox, but they catch him and hit a tandem powerbomb for a two. Slater continues to fight until he can tag in Evans. JE’VON GETS BOUNCY AND TAKES JAMES OUT AND OVER THE ANNOUNCE DESK! Evans takes out Lennox on the floor and sits down Griffin. Evans off the ropes, but Griffin catches him. Evans slides and hits his springboard cutter. The cover, every other member of DarkState breaks it up.
That will draw their opponents into the ring, and all hell breaks loose. Evans off the ropes and he kicks Griffin in the face. Slater with the 450 Splash with the knees. Bourne with the tag, and he hits Bourne Again on Griffin to win the match!
WINNER: Myles Bourne, Joe Hendry, Je’Von Evans, and Leon Slater
TIME: 14:45
THOUGHTS: Chaotic in spots, plodding and slow in other parts, namely when DarkState was in control. Bourne winning wasn’t unexpected, as they seem to be wanting to turn him into a thing.
RATING: ***1/2
To the back we go for the Contract Signing for the World Title match at Deadline. Oba Femi wants Ricky to know that the man he defeated for the title was a man burning at both ends. But this version of Femi is the man who is the Ruler of the World and will win his title back. Ricky Saints wants to know what happens if he loses? We will never know, because Ricky is not going to let Oba win his title back. There is one absolute, and that is Ricky Saints.
Ava says that for the first time in NXT PLE history, the Men’s World Title will open the show.
And with that, we are done!
