Kay Lee Ray Sums Up Her Time In WWE, Recalls Prank On Tatum Paxley That Went Wrong

Kay Lee Ray is now back on the independents, and the former Alba Fyre recently summed up her time in WWE for a new interview. As noted, Ray made her independent return at Pro Wrestling EVE’s show over the weekend, answering Molly Spartan’s open challenge and picking up a win. It was her first match since she exited WWE in late April.

Ray spoke with the Daily Star and was asked how she would sum up her time in WWE. She also recalled an innocent prank that went wrong involving WWE NXT’s Tatum Paxley. You can see the highlights below:

On The Prank That Went Wrong:

“Tatum, I’m so sorry. Tatum, I’m so, so sorry. There was a match that Tatum had a few years ago, and she knows this now. But there’s bags everywhere, everyone’s bags [have] exploded, and her shoe had fallen out her bag. I went, ‘Oh,’ and I just put it just up. It was probably like, eye line. And then later on in her match, she ended up getting really hurt.

“And I found out months later. I was in the locker room, and she started talking about that day. How something had happened, and then another thing had happened, and then she lost her shoe. And I was like, ‘Oh no…’ And then she went out to the match, and got her face busted open. I was like, ‘I’m really sorry. I have to tell you…” Because once I put it up, I thought, ‘Oh, that’ll be funny.’ She’ll look, ‘Oh, where is it? Oh, there it is,’ and put it on. And no, it was actually a lot bigger deal than that. And I feel so [bad]. That’s like the worst one that did not have bad intentions, but worked out in the worst possible way.”

On How She Would Sum Up Her Time In WWE:

“I had fun honestly, like start to end. I got the job that I wanted to, and I had fun while I was doing it with my friends. And now I get to come back and almost like start again. Yeah, I had fun.”
