Kevin Nash Recalls Story Of Smoking Joints With Rick Rude

On Being Rude’s Driver:

“I was his driver for — God, almost a year… I tell the story that because I could roll, and he had those big ass f**king fingers. Man, he couldn’t roll worth a s**t. He’d roll, like the middle of it — every time he rolled it looked like a dead body in a f**king rug.”

On a Road Story Involving Rude:

“We’d take off, and he’d take his gimmicks and we’d have our beers, whatever. And I’d sit over there and clean and roll. And then once I got four or five joints done, then he’d fucking pull over because his pills would be kicking in and I’d drive. But I remember one time he lit a joint, and he handed me a joint. Like, he lit the joint and handed it to me. So I’m hitting it, and he lights another one.

“I don’t want to have it up here and I’m driving, so I put it in the ashtray. Next thing you know, he hands me the f**king joint, and it’s lit. And I’m f**king gonna take a hit, and I’m going to put it back in the ashtray. There’s the one that I had in the ashtray. So we got three joints going in the car, and there’s two of us. I said, ‘Rick.’ I said, ‘We don’t need any more. Put one of them out.’ He goes, ‘Well, we just got to smoke faster.”
