Kevin Nash Explains Why He Was Against A Scott Hall Hologram

On the latest episode of Kliq This, Kevin Nash and co-host Sean Oliver discussed Queen weighing an avatar-style show built around the late Freddie Mercury, which led Oliver to ask Nash about a past proposal to create a hologram of Scott Hall. Nash previously mentioned that WWE wanted to have a hologram of Hall at a WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. He confirmed he was against the idea and explained why. You can check out his comments below:
On Whether an Avatar Can Draw a Crowd:
“I’m telling you right now, if you think you’re going to get 85,000 people into Wembley to watch an avatar — an avatar? What you need to do is, while you put that avatar together of Queen, work on another company putting an avatar together of 80,000 people. Then you can do it.”
On If He supported a Scott Hall Hologram:
“No.”
On Why It Came Down To It Being Hall:
“Of course, because it was Scott. I spent 30 years of my life with Scott, and I know Scott wouldn’t let them do that to me. Scott would have been like, ‘Kev wouldn’t want this.'”
On How Recent Hall’s Passing Was At the Time:
“Well, with the Scott thing, it was so fresh too. Scott hadn’t been gone very long. I said, I’ve got this bobblehead gimmick on my desk of me and Scott, and every time I come down there, I always ask Scott, ‘Scott, you want to do this show?’ And I give him a little tap, and he gives me the yeah.”
On Using the Likeness Of People Who Have Passed:
“I’m just saying, I just believe in letting people that have passed be left alone, man. Because they don’t get a say so. It’s always going to be their people. It’s going to be somebody that’s profiting from that image, and I just don’t — I think that’s messed up.”
On It Should Be Handled:
“Right now, if your son’s really popular and he’s making money and it’s going into a trust, you should have his living will, and part of that should be, ‘If I pass, I give you the right to my likeness to make money moving forward in an AI situation.’ I would have that covered, and I would have that signed off by him. But technology after the fact, I don’t think so.”
